"Don’t worry about Miss Chu, she isn’t a pushover." Monkey comforted his wife.
If he hadn’t witnessed Chu Miao wiping out that group with a wave of her hand, she might be just as worried as his wife.
However, he had seen it and he knew that Chu Miao had done it effortlessly without putting in any real effort.
That meant that she could wipe out even more enemies the same way.
"You are not joking with me, are you?" Monkey’s wife asked, turning to look at her husband.
"When have I ever lied to you? I am serious. Just eat and don’t mind them." Monkey wanted his wife to eat her fill because he wasn’t sure they would get such good food again.
Once they were done eating, Chu Miao got to the point.
"Would you like to leave this place and go to a safer place?" She asked seriously.
"What do you mean? You mean go to a safe base? Maybe we might have been able to go to a base before because at least we had some supplies to pay for the entrance fees and rent a small room. But now that we have nothing at all, where would we go?" Monkey sighed at the thought that they couldn’t even afford to make watery porridge let alone pay for a place in a military safe base.
"That is not what I meant. I mean coming to our base. You know where it is." Chu Miao turned to Monkey as she spoke.
Monkey had gone there to look for her several times, so he knew where the sect was. He had just never seen its true appearance since it’s covered with a protective barrier and an illusion array.
"You mean that place? I never really understood where you usually come from." Monkey said honestly.
"Well, if you agree to join our base, you will know." Chu Miao said with a smile.
"Okay, going with you even as a slave is better than staying here." Monkey was very forthright about this.
"I have no interest in keeping slaves. Everyone in our place lives with dignity and pursues their interests. As long as they fight to protect humanity, no one cares what they do in their free time. Just don’t betray the sect or harm the people." Chu Miao explained the few rules clearly.
"That’s it?" Monkey’s wife asked in surprise.
"Of course. We just want to give the worthy people a safe place to live while we fight the apocalypse. So, we don’t have many rules." Chu Miao nodded as she said this.
"Then we’ll go." Monkey’s wife said immediately.
She didn’t want to delay in case Chu Miao changed her mind.
"Monkey, can you find a way to notify the other residents in the community? I will take them all away. However, I have to say this upfront. I won’t take anyone of questionable character with me. So, anyone who submitted to those barbarians will not be included, anyone who used their families or friends in exchange for supplies or safety will not be included, anyone who practiced cannibalism will not be included. In short, anyone who has gone against humanity or morality for their own survival will not be included. So, be careful when you bring the people. I don’t need people to ruin the atmosphere in my home." Chu Miao would put down her foot when it came to something like this.
Even if it was out of necessity or desperation that someone did the things she mentioned, she wouldn’t tolerate them.
Someone like that would betray the sect for their own gain some day.
"Alright, if you eliminate all those kinds of people you mentioned, then not many remain, but at least their character could pass the test." Monkey said with a smile.
"That’s good. Here, take these and use them. You can also distribute them to the people you want to bring along, then we can leave quietly. However, I will not leave this place standing, so make sure you don’t leave anyone you care about here." Chu Miao said as she handed a large bunch of talismans to Monkey.
"What are these papers for?" Monkey looked at the talismans and felt confused.

For the protective talismans, they will protect you from any attack and even deflect it to the attacker. For the concealment talismans, once applied, you will become invisible and can move freely without anyone noticing. Just don’t bump into things because you will give away your position. "Thank you Miss Chu, I will go now and do as you command." Monkey took a small bag and put the talismans inside. Then he plastered two of them on himself and he instantly became invisible.
"It really works." His wife exclaimed in shock when she saw her husband disappear.
"Of course it works, I wouldn’t give you something defective. Alright, you can go now." Chu Miao gave the order and Monkey headed to the door.
"Go and open the door for him. It will be awkward if the people at the door see it open and close itself." She said to Monkey’s wife who was still reeling in shock of her husband becoming invisible.
"Oh! Alright then. I’ll go." The woman got up enthusiastically and went to open the door.
Monkey walked out then the door was closed again.
