Chapter 40 Yongtae Oppa, I'm sorry!
Chapter 40 Yongtae Oppa, I'm sorry!
Chapter 40 Yongtae Oppa, I'm sorry!
Jiang Huiyuan leaned against the door, trying to calm the emotions that had surged within her from her confrontation with Jiang Yongtai.
That was close—I almost really cried! But thankfully I got through it.
She lowered her head and smiled, a hint of smugness on her lips.
When Jiang Yongtai called her by her full name, she knew she was in trouble that night. From childhood to adulthood, Jiang Yongtai only called her "Jiang Huiyuan" when he was really angry.
According to the usual procedure, Jiang Yongtai would first lecture her, and then force her to apologize and admit her mistake.
But I didn't do anything wrong, so why should I admit it! What's wrong with introducing a girlfriend to my oppa?
So she had already thought about her next plan before she even sat down on the sofa.
Whenever Sana Minatozaki is mentioned, Oppa falls silent, becomes irritable, and forgets what he was originally investigating, managing to dodge the original topic, all while showcasing his acting skills—
Wow, Jiang Huiyuan, you're a true genius!
However, she truly would not forgive Minatozaki Sana; her tears just now were genuine, and her words were not.
Her acting teacher told her that only genuine emotions combined with skill can make the audience believe it's real. Her acting lessons were definitely worth it!
Jiang Huiyuan pressed her ear against the door, holding her breath to listen to the sounds outside. There were no footsteps, no knocking, not even a sigh in the living room. Her heart finally settled back down.
Oppa should still be on the sofa; he hasn't chased after us yet.
Turning around and walking to the bedside, she saw Kwon Eunbi comfortably turning over and burying her face in her oppa's pillow. The anger that Kang Hye-won had managed to suppress earlier flared up again.
She bit her lip, raised her hand and slapped the fullest curve under the blanket; the touch and elasticity were excellent.
Kwon Eunbi let out a soft moan, waved her hand limply in the air, turned over, and fell asleep again.
Unnie, you almost ruined me tonight, you know that!
Jiang Huiyuan knelt on the bed, staring down at Quan Enfei's innocent-looking face as she slept.
Unnie, you almost got me into serious trouble, you know that!
But after staring for a few seconds, she sighed.
Although Jiang Yongtai's earlier words were harsh, one of them was true: if it were just the two of them, she really wouldn't know what to do with the drunk Quan Enfei.
Unable to carry him or wake him up, he'll most likely just sit there searching Wikipedia for "what to do when drunk" while calling Sakura unnie for help.
Like now, after arguing with Kang Young-tae, she still had to resign herself to helping Kwon Eun-bi change her clothes.
She got out of bed, rummaged through Jiang Yongtai's closet and found two unopened T-shirts, and then found two pairs of clean shorts.
Back at the bedside, it took a lot of effort to pull off Kwon Eunbi's black dress. As she pulled on the zipper at the back, Kwon Eunbi muttered something in dissatisfaction, twisted her waist, and almost buried the dress under her so she couldn't pull it out.
After finally managing to pull off her skirt, Jiang Huiyuan looked at Quan Enbi, who was only wearing underwear, clicked her tongue twice, and whistled.
No wonder he's the undisputed "Nicebody" of IZ*ONE!
However, considering that this was Jiang Yongtai's bed, Jiang Huiyuan still maintained her last line and left Quan Enbi with her underwear on.
How could Oppa's bed allow a woman he hasn't even officially started dating to lie there so naked!
She nodded in agreement and helped Kwon Eunbi put on a T-shirt and shorts.
After all that was done, she was so exhausted that she collapsed next to Kwon Eun-bi, arms outstretched, staring at the ceiling, panting.
She turned her head to look at Kwon Eunbi's sleeping face, which was flushed pink from the aftereffects of her drunkenness, and couldn't help but reach out and pinch it.
"Unnie, you're really asleep, aren't you? You're not just pretending to be asleep to get revenge on me, are you?"
However, she herself knew that Kwon Eunbi wasn't faking it. There was a time when Kwon Eunbi was drunk in the dormitory and Miyawaki Sakura drew a mustache on her face with a marker, but she didn't wake up. The next day, she asked why everyone was laughing when they saw her.
Jiang Huiyuan sat up and sniffed herself.
The ordeal had left her with a light sweat, mixed with the aromatherapy and red wine from the restaurant. She unconsciously wrinkled her nose, tugged at her collar in disgust, and tiptoed into the bathroom.
Jiang Yongtai sat on the sofa for a while, a bitter smile slowly tugging at the corners of his mouth.
I was tricked by Jiang Huiyuan —
This girl knows him too well. Taking advantage of the fact that he finds it hard to speak harshly to her, he first launched a tearful offensive, and then quickly shifted the topic entirely to Sana.
By the time he realized what was happening, she had already left, slamming the door shut and not even giving him a chance to check the accounts.
Not only that, he also had to apologize.
No, where did she learn all this?!
Jiang Yongtai irritably tugged at his shirt collar, stood up from the sofa, walked to the TV cabinet, squatted down, and pulled out an A4 sheet of paper.
-
Fold the paper in half, then fold it in half again.
With a few flicks of his wrist, the A4 paper quickly took shape in his hand.
As Jiang Huiyuan, wrapped in a bath towel and drying her hair, came out of the bathroom, there was a knock on the door.
She stopped what she was doing, draped a towel over her wet shoulders, and walked to the door.
The two people stood side by side through the door, neither of them speaking first, when something slid in through the crack in the door.
Jiang Huiyuan's eyes lit up, and she bent down to pick it up.
A paper-folded Merry, with the goat's head at the bow curving at the exact same angle as before.
This is the ship in One Piece that symbolizes friendship and bonds, and it's also her and Jiang Yongtai's secret code.
From childhood to adulthood, whenever she was wronged or angry and locked herself in her room, Jiang Yongtai would slip a Merry-themed toy under the door.
As long as she opens the door, the past is over.
She curled the corners of her lips into a smile, took a deep breath, suppressed the smugness on her face, and opened the door with a straight expression.
Jiang Yongtai was indeed standing at the door, his face equally stern. The two of them stared at each other for a few seconds.
"Is it done yet?"
It was Jiang Yongtai who spoke first.
Jiang Huiyuan nodded expressionlessly.
"alright."
Jiang Yongtai looked at her helplessly, "I'll let it go this time, but don't try anything funny next time."
"Um."
Jiang Huiyuan nodded calmly, maintaining perfect composure, but inside she was so proud she wanted to jump for joy.
"Is Consort Eun alright?"
"Luckily, I took some clothes that Oppa hadn't worn before from his closet and gave them to Unnie to change into."
Jiang Yongtai nodded without saying anything more.
Jiang Huiyuan leaned against the door frame, a corner of the towel slipping off her shoulder. She reached out and caught it, raising an eyebrow.
"Oppa, do you need to take a shower? There's only one bathroom in the house."
She knew about Jiang Yongtai's problem: he felt uncomfortable if he didn't shower every day, and he could only go to sleep after showering.
Jiang Yongtai glanced over her shoulder into the bedroom, his expression clearly hesitant.
Seeing his struggling appearance, Jiang Huiyuan couldn't help but chuckle.
"Don't worry, Oppa. Once Eunbi unnie falls asleep, there's no way to wake her up no matter what I do. I went through so much trouble just now to help her change her clothes, and she didn't even make a sound~"
"—That's not a good idea."
Jiang Yongtai said this, but he was already standing still and showed no intention of going back.
Jiang Huiyuan didn't say anything more, but grabbed Jiang Yongtai's wrist and pulled him inside.
Jiang Yongtai stumbled slightly, but was already standing in the bedroom.
Jiang Huiyuan let go of his hand, walked to the mirror, bent down to plug in the hairdryer, and glanced at him sideways.
"Go get your clothes, Oppa. I'll stay here and dry my hair while I keep watch for you~"
Jiang Yongtai glanced at Quan Enbi, who was sleeping soundly wrapped in a blanket on the bed, and silently walked to the wardrobe to take out his pajamas.
As she passed by Jiang Huiyuan, she lowered her voice and said, "I'll be quick," before heading straight into the bathroom.
Jiang Huiyuan smiled at herself in the mirror, then turned on the hairdryer, and a rush of hot air blew out.
She watched her wet hair gradually dry in the mirror, thinking to herself, "Oppa is such a coward. Even with the hairdryer making such a loud noise, Eunbi unnie didn't wake up. What's he afraid of?"
But after blowing for less than two minutes, the hair dryer suddenly stopped working.
Jiang Huiyuan frowned and patted the device, but there was no response. He then looked down to check the power port, unplugged it and plugged it back in, but there was still no response.
It's fine, could it be broken?
Her hair was still dripping wet, the ends sticking damply to her neck. She shivered from the cold and suddenly remembered there was a spare hairdryer under the TV cabinet in the living room—should she go out and get it?
She glanced back at Kwon Eunbi on the bed; she was still in the same position, as if she were going to sleep forever.
I was only gone for less than a minute, it can't be that much of a coincidence.
Jiang Huiyuan made a decision immediately, put down the object she was holding, and ran out of the bedroom in a flash.
On the bed, Kwon Eun-bi's eyelids twitched.
My head hurts so much — I'm so thirsty — I really need to pee —
She vaguely felt herself lying on a bed and thought Jiang Huiyuan had already taken her back to her dormitory.
She struggled to prop herself up; Jiang Yongtai's T-shirt was too big, and the neckline slipped off her shoulders, her hair disheveled and covering her face.
Kwon Eunbi didn't open her eyes. She walked barefoot on the floor and groped her way towards the sound of water. That was the bathroom!
At this moment, only this most basic judgment remained in her mind.
In the bathroom, Jiang Yongtai stood under the showerhead, hot water pouring down from head to toe, the sound of the water drowning out all the noise outside.
Kwon Eunbi strolled leisurely to the bathroom door, and just as her finger touched the doorknob, a scream suddenly erupted behind her.
"Unnie, don't go in!"
Jiang Huiyuan took a spare hairdryer and walked into the bedroom. As soon as she entered, she saw Quan Enbi, who should have been lying on the bed, standing at the bathroom door. She screamed in fright.
Kwon Eunbi frowned and subconsciously turned the doorknob.
Why is Huiyuan shouting so loudly? He must be trying to take the toilet from her again!
The daily toilet battles in the IZONE dorms were ingrained in her instincts, especially since she was in a real hurry!
She walked in without looking back, leaving behind the words, "Hye-won, unnie is really in a hurry, wait a moment," and then locked the door behind her.
"Unnie!"
Jiang Huiyuan's eyes widened, and by the time she rushed to the bathroom door, it was too late. She could only pound on the door, raising her voice eight octaves.
"Unnie, come out first! I'm not trying to take the toilet from you!"
Kwon Eun-bi's voice came through the door, clearly showing her impatience.
"Huiyuan, I'm really, really in a hurry, please don't cause trouble!"
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped.
Jiang Yongtai stood in the shower room, completely frozen in place, water droplets dripping from his hair and sliding down his chest.
Even before Jiang Huiyuan's scream pierced the air, he had already frowned and looked towards the door, where a figure was swaying outside the frosted glass door.
His heart sank. He wanted to rush over and lock the door, but—it was too late.
The moment the door was turned open, he could only retreat back into the shower room, turn off the water with his backhand, and press his whole body against the wall.
He gripped a towel draped nearby tightly with one hand to shield himself, his eyes fixed on the figure that walked in.
Kwon Eun-bi didn't notice him. Half-opening her eyes in a daze, she leaned against the wall to find the toilet, lifted the lid, and sat down with a sigh of relief, but the cold seat made her frown.
Something's not right. The toilet seat in the dorm has a heating pad, and Miyawaki Sakura just changed it a few days ago. How can it be so cold?
She barely opened her eyes, her gaze slowly sweeping from the toilet beneath her to the unfamiliar sink beside her, then to the unfamiliar tile pattern, and finally to a corner—
Her gaze froze there, as if she had been frozen in time, her mind going completely blank.
Jiang Yongtai stood behind the frosted glass of the shower room. Through the semi-transparent partition, their eyes met within a distance of less than two meters.
His face darkened, and he repeatedly confirmed one fact in his mind—she had seen it.
Outside the door, Jiang Huiyuan stopped knocking and pressed her ear against the door panel, but found that there was no sound inside.
Having nothing at all, that's the scariest thing.
She slowly slid down from the door panel and squatted at the doorway. The whole world turned gray before her eyes.
Oh no—the roles have been reversed, and now I'm the one who has to apologize to Oppa!
In the bathroom, Kwon Eunbi sat frozen on the toilet, her inner thighs aching from being pinched by herself.
Get up! Get up then!
Her face was filled with dejection, and she cried out in her heart, unable to even breathe.
Jiang Huiyuan! You've really ruined me!
The two remained locked in a stalemate, the air thick with tension.
Then, whether it was the extreme embarrassment triggering her body's underlying protective mechanism, or the pain in her thigh finally overcoming the stiffness, Kwon Eun-bi suddenly found herself able to move—
She immediately stood up, and Jiang Yongtai also turned his face to the other side, staring at the grout in the corner of the wall, waiting for her to tidy herself up.
Kwon Eunbi bit her lower lip hard, frantically pulling up the hem of her T-shirt, silently chanting: Pretend I don't exist, pretend I don't exist, I'll leave now, I'll leave right now!
The moment she turned the doorknob, her mouth betrayed her brain, and she inexplicably blurted out, "Yongtai oppa, I'm sorry!"
Before the last word had even finished, the person rushed out, slamming the door shut with a thud.
Jiang Yongtai looked at the still trembling door and covered his eyes with one hand.
His lips twitched at first, then widened into a wider grin, until finally he even laughed out loud.
After laughing, he slowly pulled his lips back, sighed deeply, silently picked up a towel to dry himself, and put on a clean T-shirt and shorts.
As his fingers rested on the doorknob, he glanced down at his clothes to make sure everything was in order, then took a deep breath and waited for his "good sister's" signal.
Kwon Eunbi nearly bumped into Kang Hye-won when she rushed out.
Kang Hye-won stepped aside and cautiously called out "Unnie".
Kwon Eunbi didn't hear a thing. She had already thrown herself onto the bed, pulled the blanket over herself and wrapped herself up from head to toe, curling up into a small mound, her back to the bathroom, and remained motionless.
Looking at the "ostrich mountain" on the bed that was still trembling slightly, Jiang Huiyuan had completely guessed what had just happened in the bathroom.
She stood there swallowing hard, then walked to the bathroom door with a despair in her heart and gently knocked.
"Oppa————"
Jiang Yongtai came out, his hair still wet, a few strands sticking to his forehead. His face was expressionless, showing neither anger nor embarrassment, as if what had just happened had nothing to do with him.
He then walked straight to the wardrobe, opened the door, pulled out a thin blanket, hugged it to his arms, and turned to walk towards the door.
He didn't stop when he passed Jiang Huiyuan and the ostrich mountain on the bed, and he didn't even glance at them.
He opened the door, walked out, and even gently closed it behind him.
Jiang Huiyuan stared blankly as Jiang Yongtai disappeared through the door, and trembled from head to toe.
She stiffly turned her head and met Kwon Eun-bi's eyes peeking out from the gap in the blanket. She forced a smile that looked more like a grimace.
"Unnie~"
Kwon Eun-bi ignored her. After confirming that the door would not be opened again, she suddenly threw off the covers and pounced on Kang Hye-won.
"Kang Huiyuan! Today I'm going to make you die with me!"
Every word Kwon Eun-bi uttered was squeezed out from between her teeth, carrying her boundless shame and indignation.
He grabbed Jiang Huiyuan by the collar, shoved her onto the bed, and started throwing pillows at her.
The soft pillow hitting her was hardly harmful, but Kwon Eun-bi's imposing manner made Kang Hye-won dare not resist.
"Unnie! Unnie! Keep your voice down—Oppa's still outside!"
Jiang Huiyuan covered her head while pleading in a low voice, her other hand futilely blocking in front of her as she tried to grab the constantly rising and falling pillow.
But Kwon Eun-bi became increasingly violent with each blow, eventually throwing the pillow aside and resorting to physical violence.
Jiang Huiyuan rolled around on the bed, her eyes welling up with tears from being scratched, but she dared not scream too loudly, her face turning bright red.
"Do you even know what I just did! What I just did—"
Kwon Eunbi couldn't continue speaking. Recalling the scene in the bathroom, her face, already flushed from the alcohol, turned even redder, and her ears burned.
She lowered her head, resting her forehead on Jiang Huiyuan's shoulder, and mumbled a sentence that sounded like a sob.
"Oh no! Jiang Huiyuan! You're really going to kill me!"
Jiang Huiyuan was pinned down by her and couldn't move. She looked at the aggrieved Quan Enfei while panting, wondering how to end this situation tonight.
In the living room, Jiang Yongtai lay on the sofa, hearing faint screams and muffled thuds coming from the bedroom. He silently pulled the blanket up higher and closed his eyes.
"—Go check if your oppa is still here!"
Kwon Eun-bi pushed Kang Hye-won toward the door, her voice low and her face showing guilt.
"Unnie, don't push me! I'm scared too—but Oppa should be at work by now, right?"
-
Jiang Huiyuan was pushed all the way to the door by her, and turned back to complain.
Kwon Eunbi raised her hand and slapped her on the back, while using her other hand to scratch her messy, bird's nest-like hair that she had just woken up.
"If you hadn't failed to keep watch for him last night, would things be like this now?!"
"I didn't know that unnie went in without listening to me—"
Jiang Huiyuan pouted, feeling wronged. It wasn't like she hadn't cried out last night.
Kwon Eunbi opened her mouth, but realized that she was not entirely in the right in this matter, so she had no choice but to forcefully save face with her last bit of momentum.
"Fine, fine, I won't argue with you. You...you go out and check on things!"
Jiang Huiyuan glanced at her again, turned back, took a deep breath, opened the door a crack, peeked out with half her head and looked around, before tiptoeing out.
The living room was quiet, and the blankets had been neatly folded and placed next to the sofa.
She let out a long sigh of relief, turned around and called out into the bedroom, "Unnie, come out! Oppa's not here~"
Kwon Eun-bi then stepped out from behind the door.
The living room was filled with a faint aroma of coffee, mixed with the buttery smell of freshly fried eggs and toasted bread.
Jiang Huiyuan had already followed the smell to the dining table.
Two breakfasts were on the table, and two glasses of juice were poured next to them. Under one of the glasses was a sticky note with only one line: "Please close the door when you leave."
Jiang Huiyuan's eyes lit up, her mouth widened, and she plopped down, picked up a sandwich, took a big bite, and waved to Quan Enfei while mumbling something in her mouth.
"Unnie, come and eat! I told you last night, Oppa isn't that stingy~"
Since Jiang Yongtai made her breakfast, it means that what happened last night is over.
Kwon Eunbi walked over, looked at the breakfast on the table that was clearly prepared for her, and sat down with a complicated expression.
She picked up the juice and took a sip, then picked up the sandwich and hesitated before taking a small bite.
I thought that Jiang Yongtai, a single man, probably wouldn't be much better at cooking, but the food was surprisingly delicious.
Jiang Huiyuan finished her portion in a few bites, picked up the juice, drank half a glass, and let out a comfortable burp.
She glanced at Kwon Eunbi, who was still taking small bites of her sandwich across from her, her eyes darting around, and casually asked, "Unnie, do you think my oppa's cooking is delicious?"
Kwon Eun-bi was caught off guard and nodded obediently.
"Well enough."
"My oppa is pretty good, right?"
Kwon Eunbi stopped chewing and thought for a moment.
Last night, Jiang Huiyuan said that he carried himself upstairs when he was drunk, and that he was very respectful during the meal. Apart from the accident in the bathroom, he was quite polite.
She nodded. "Hmm—it's not bad."
Jiang Huiyuan leaned forward, the mischievous smile on her lips impossible to hide.
"Well—my oppa's body is pretty good too, right?"
"Cough, cough!"
Kwon Eunbi choked on the sandwich and quickly drank several mouthfuls of juice to barely calm down. She then looked up and glared at Kang Hye-won.
"Hey, why are you suddenly bringing this up!"
But the brain is a thing that never listens to you, and the scene from the bathroom last night keeps replaying in my mind.
Water droplets slid down his collarbone, along his abdominal muscles, down to his firm stomach. His shoulders were broad, his waist narrow—not the overly developed muscles of a gym workout. And below—
Thinking of this, Kwon Eun-bi's face turned red at a visible speed.
She slammed the juice glass on the table, shook her head vigorously, and tried to get rid of those inappropriate memories for children.
Seeing her reaction, Jiang Huiyuan didn't need any reply. She chuckled, moved closer to Quan Enfei, and looked at her intently.
"Unnie, how about I help you woo my oppa? You've already seen everything, you have to take responsibility!"
"puff!"
Kwon Eun-bi had just picked up her juice, trying to hide her expression by drinking water, when she heard this and immediately spat it out, staring wide-eyed at Kang Hye-won, who didn't seem to be joking.
"Achoo!"
Jiang Yongtai sneezed and rubbed his nose.
He forgot to close the living room window last night, and he tossed and turned on the sofa, barely getting any sleep.
Moreover, I've never experienced anything so embarrassing before, especially in front of Jiang Huiyuan—I barely managed to close my eyes before dawn, and then the alarm clock rang again.
-
He struggled to get up, folded the blankets, and rummaged through the laundry basket in the living room for two unwashed coats and shirts to change into, thankful that he didn't have to run into the bedroom to get clothes.
I quickly made two more sandwiches and put them on the table before leaving.
"Yongtai, what did I say? Are you coming or not?"
Park Soo-bin walked up to him at some point, holding a script in her hand and smiling.
"Hmm? Come on."
Jiang Yongtai was completely out of it and didn't hear what she had just said.
Park Soo-bin's eyes lit up, and as if afraid he would change his mind, she immediately placed the gavel.
"Okay, it's a deal then! You're on the list for the social gathering tomorrow night, no take-backs!"
A social gathering? What kind of social gathering?
Kang Young-tae's drowsiness was jolted by the word. He opened his mouth to say "wait a minute," but Park Soo-bin had already turned and walked towards Choi Min-young.
The two huddled together, discussing something in hushed tones, giving him no room to refuse.
"Brother, your concentrate is unsweetened."
Kim Sung-woo ran over from the door, panting, and handed him a takeout cup of coffee.
Jiang Yongtai took the drink and drank it. It was so bitter that his brows furrowed, but he still swallowed it.
Given his current mental state, he simply can't keep up with the rest of the recording without something like this.
"Have Sanai and Jeongyeon arrived?"
Kim Sung-woo glanced at the watch and nodded.
"We're almost there. Are you okay, bro? Didn't you sleep well last night?"
He stared at the bluish tinge under Jiang Yongtai's eyes with some concern.
Jiang Yongtai patted him on the shoulder and took out a cigarette case from his pocket.
"I'm going to have a smoke. Call me when they arrive."
After saying that, he picked up the bitter coffee and turned to walk towards the smoking area outside.
Yu Dingyan sat by the window in the van, arms crossed, looking out the window with her head turned to the side, refusing to look to the side.
Sana Minatozaki rummaged through the snack bag next to the seat and pulled out a bag of honey butter potato chips. She tore open the bag and offered it to her ingratiatingly.
before.
"Jeongyeon unnie~ Here, have some~"
Yu Dingyan snorted and turned her face to the other side.
"I won't eat it!"
"Ugh~ Jeongyeon unnie~"
Sana Minato drew out the last syllable of her voice softly and slowly, leaning closer to her and gently shaking her sleeve with both hands.
Yu Dingyan was so startled by her that she finally turned her head, looked at her face, and a cold smile appeared on her lips.
"Who told me last night to coordinate my outfit? And look what happened, you're dressed so cutely?!"
"Where is it cute~"
Sana Minatozaki blinked her big eyes, looking innocent.
Yoo Jeongyeon was so angry she almost laughed. She looked down and tugged at her oversized suit jacket, then pointed at Minatozaki Sana and gestured around her from top to bottom.
"Didn't you say you were going for a sharp, capable look today? This is what I call sharp, and yours—what?!"
She pointed to Sana Minatozaki's bun hairstyle.
Sana Minatozaki looked down and touched her shirt collar, explaining in a serious tone.
"That's quite capable."
Today she wore a blue and white striped collared short-sleeved shirt with the collar open, and a thin necklace hanging from her collarbone.
She wore a matching bodycon skirt and light gray knee-high socks, and her hair was styled into a bun at the back of her head, making her look cute and sophisticated.
Yu Dingyan was too lazy to argue with her anymore. Just then, the car stopped, and she opened the car door and got out first.
Sana Minatozaki grabbed a coat from the seat and draped it over her shoulders. She jogged off the bus, caught up with Jeongyeon from behind, grabbed her arm, and nuzzled her face against her shoulder.
"Jeongyeon unnie, thank you for coming to the first episode~"
Yu Dingyan's heart softened as she nuzzled him, and she sighed.
"Okay, okay, stop calling me unnie, we're only a month apart!"
He said that, but didn't pull his arm out.
Sana Minato chuckled, nodded to her manager who was getting out of the car behind her, and then took Jeongyeon's arm as they walked toward the elevator.
The elevator stopped on the floor where the recording studio was located. As soon as the door slid open a crack, Sana Minatozaki's laughter drifted out.
She had successfully appeased Yu Dingyan, and the two were walking and chatting arm in arm.
Jiang Yongtai had just finished smoking and was walking over from the direction of the stairwell when Yu Dingyan saw him and politely bowed slightly.
"Hello, Kang PDnim."
""
Sana Minatozaki followed her gaze and gave her a warm smile.
"PDnim~"
Anyone who frequently stays up all night and only gets two hours of sleep before having to get up for work understands that people in this state can't really make any facial expressions.
At this moment, Jiang Yongtai's brain was only operating at about half its usual speed, and the muscles in his face were still in a semi-dormant state.
He simply nodded slightly when he saw them, his voice barely rising or falling.
"Hello, please follow me."
After saying that, he turned around and led the way.
Watching his retreating figure, Yoo Jeongyeon leaned close to Sana's ear and asked in a low voice with some curiosity, "Is PDnim in a bad mood? He didn't seem like this when I saw him in the cafeteria last time."
Last time at JYP, Kang Youngtae didn't talk much, but he was very easygoing and would occasionally crack a joke. Today, he's like a completely different person.
Sana Minatozaki was even more frustrated than her, her brows furrowed slightly and her lips pouting.
What's with that sour face?!
After the last incident, she thought she could get along normally with him again.
I had just put on my most enthusiastic smile in the elevator, but I got such a cold response.
"I don't know," she said to Yu Dingyan, without deliberately lowering her voice.
"Maybe she got dumped~"
Yu Dingyan was so frightened that her eyes widened, and she quickly covered her mouth.
"Hey, you're talking too loudly! He's the PD of your show, do you want to be targeted?"
Sana Minato struggled to pry her hand off her mouth and snorted.
"I'm not afraid of him at all!"
Jiang Yongtai suddenly stopped.
Sana Minato and Jeongyeon Yoo almost bumped into his back. Jeongyeon Yoo instinctively tugged at Sana's sleeve, feeling guilty that he had overheard what they had just said.
Jiang Yongtai simply reached out and pushed open the recording studio door, turned to the side, and spoke in a calm tone.
"Jeongyeon, Sanai, we've arrived."
Sana Minatozaki said she wasn't afraid, but she was startled by his sudden pause.
She composed herself, took Yu Dingyan's hand, and walked inside. As she passed Jiang Yongtai, she caught him yawning out of the corner of her eye.
She paused, her brows furrowing slightly.
Did he not sleep well?
